Let’s delve more into this lineup and what’s new!

The all-new iPhone line-up

The new iPhone lineup comes in four new designs. Just as its predecessor, each smartphone in the iPhone 13 lineup differs in size, pricing, storage, and some key specs and features. We’ll discuss this more in detail further.

What colors can we expect for iPhone-13?

The new lineup consists of some bold new colors. The iPhone 13 and 13 Mini come in Starlight, Midnight, Blue, Pink, and Red colors whereas the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro Max come in Silver, Graphite Gold, and Sierra Blue.

What’s New in iPhone 13?

Off the bat, the promotional video Apple released enlisted a number of new core features that set the bar higher for the new iPhone. Perhaps the one that caught every iOS user’s eyes was the increased battery life.

The new iPhone is set to be released with a much larger battery. While questions to the exact battery size remain unanswered, Apple claims the new battery will add up to 1.5 hours of battery life to the iPhone 13 Mini and Pro as compared to its predecessor, the iPhone12. IPhone 13 and 13 Pro Max will get a 2.5 hours battery life boost comparatively. This new improved battery life will stem from the larger battery paired with Apple’s A15 Bionic processor. The iPhone 13 and 13 Mini will come with a 4 core GPU whereas the iPhone Pro and Pro Max will get a five-core GPU. Image Courtesy: cnet.com

Next up, let’s talk design. The new iPhone comes with a much smaller notch (around 20% smaller than the iPhone 12). As for the sizing, the iPhone 13 series is almost similar to the previous iPhone 12, a tad bit thicker and heavier, however. The iPhone 13 Mini is 5.4 inches, iPhone 13 and 13 Pro are both 6.1 inches whereas the iPhone 13 Pro Max is 6.7 inches. There is however a small increase in width and weight. The iPhone 13 is 7.65mm thick and weighs around 6.14 ounces or 174 grams.

Now let’s talk about the display. The new iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max feature a 120Hz bumped refresh rate display. The number of Hertz displayed refers to the number of frames per second. Higher up means faster and smoother scrolling when going through apps and websites. This new display comes with a new ‘ProMotion” feature as Apple calls it.

This new feature will ramp up the refresh rate of the display up to 120Hz or down to lower rates depending on the time of image/video/text display which will help conserve battery life. It should also allow for a much smoother gaming experience.

iPhone has also added some new pretty neat camera features to the iPhone 13 models. The new CInematic mode will help users quickly change focus from one subject to the next, something you’d see in movies.

Macro photography will allow users to take clear ultra-close-up pictures of subjects just 2 cm away. As for the cameras themselves, all four models have improved 12-megapixel cameras. The iPhone 13 and 13 Mini get two diagonal rear cameras whereas the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max get a triple camera system.
